Established in 1964 in Qatar as a small trading firm dealing in spare automotive parts, Al Faisal Holding is today a holding company with diversified investments in multiple sectors. The company operates across real estate, construction, hospitality, trading, transportation, entertainment, education, services and information technology. In November 2023, a subsidiary of Al Faisal Holding, Al Rayyan Tourism and Investment Company, announced the signing of a franchisee agreement with IHG Hotels & Resorts to rebrand one of its properties in New York. Al Faisal Holding’s chairman, Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani, had a net worth of $1.8 billion as of February 2024.
